In April 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order, "Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth", to create new educational and workforce development opportunities for America's youth. The goal is for America’s young people to gain interest and expertise in AI technology from an early age, enabling America to maintain global dominance in this technological revolution for future generations.
As part of this effort, President Trump established the White House Task Force on AI Education. This Task Force is planning and implementing a Presidential AI Challenge for America’s youth, as well as establishing public-private partnerships to provide resources for K-12 AI education. Through these efforts, our Nation’s youth will have opportunities to cultivate the skills and understanding necessary to thrive in the AI-driven workforce.
